Why do I need to complete blood work?

Blood work is essential to assess your health and determine if any specific biomarkers are out of balance. This information helps us discuss your wellness plan and monitor your progress. Your blood is like a truth serum. It answers biochemical questions in absolute terms. Blood work should be redone every 12 months (at a minimum) for progress (or regression) in wellness status. For those who move forward with HRT, blood work is redone every 4-6 months.

How long does the initial visit with the nurse practitioner take?

Collecting blood samples is a standard and quick procedure, taking around 20 minutes. It’s a comfortable process that provides crucial data for the follow-up consultation. The follow-up virtual consultation will be 30 minutes.

What are nutraceuticals?

Nutraceuticals are products typically derived from natural sources and can include vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and other bioactive compounds. Nutraceuticals are often used to support overall health, address specific concerns, or complement a person’s diet to ensure they receive essential nutrients.

Are the nutraceuticals tailored just for me?

Our nutraceutical recommendations are based on a well-established protocol developed through two decades of research under the guidance of Dr. Larry Komer. This protocol is not tailored to specific individuals, aside from the dosage of Vitamin D, but has been tested on thousands of patients to provide a beneficial dose to many.  Our VitalityPak is a complex “recipe” that works.

Why not just take my multivitamin?

One-a-day multivitamins were a marketing initiative to deliver a one-size-fits-all silver bullet. The truth is that vitamins contain solids, and it is physically impossible to put all the wondrous ingredients your body needs to complement your daily diet into one single vitamin. The Psirenity VitalityPak includes approximately 24 daily tables (12 a.m./12 p.m.)

Which vitamins and nutrients are part of the vitality pack?

A complete list of the vitamins included can be found here.

Is it possible to get your daily vitamin needs in one Vitality Pack?

Our VitalityPak  is divided into two doses: AM and PM. This division allows for tailoring supplements to specific needs at different times of the day. For example, our AM dose focuses on energy and cognitive ability to start your day, while our PM dose can provide essential nutrition to your body as it rests. Some nutrients may also compete for absorption, and taking them separately can prevent interactions. Our focused formulas can provide higher amounts of specific nutrients when separated into two doses.

Do vitamins work?

Vitamins significantly affect your health when used appropriately, especially as you age. In today’s busy world, it’s incredibly challenging to consume the essential amount of vitamins and nutrients from one’s diet alone. Vitamins and certain nutrients have proven to have antioxidant properties, assist with inflammation, help with energy, and boost overall wellness.

How long does it take to notice a difference in your body?

The time it takes to notice a difference varies from person to person. However, incorporating proper sleep and exercise into your routine while staying dedicated to bringing your nutrients daily will lead to noticeable improvements in time.

What is Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a broad term encompassing the replacement or supplementation of various hormones in women and men.

What is Testosterone Replacement Therapy?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a specific form of HRT that focuses on supplementing testosterone in individuals with low testosterone levels. Testosterone is a hormone primarily produced in the testes. It plays a crucial role in various aspects of health, including:

  1. Sexual Function: Testosterone is essential for one’s libido (sexual desire) and for achieving and maintaining an erection in men.
  2. Physical Health: It contributes to muscle mass, bone density, and the distribution of fat in the body. Low testosterone levels can lead to reduced muscle strength and increased body fat.
  3. Energy Levels: Adequate testosterone levels are necessary for maintaining energy and overall vitality.

Is Everyone a Candidate for Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Not necessarily. Hormone therapy is recommended individually after thoroughly assessing your health and hormonal balance. If Psirenity’s experts believe you could be a candidate for HRT, we will facilitate a referral to Dr. Fallis, our advisor and leading expert in the field.

Is There a Risk to Hormone Replacement Therapy?

With all medical treatments, there is the potential for side effects. Most members report increased vitality, positive mood changes, better clarity, increased muscle growth and repair when working out, and increased energy and libido. The Psirenity's Health experts will counsel you on whether you are a candidate for Hormone Replacement Therapy.

I get my testosterone now from an individual at the gym who assures me it is top-grade. Why do I need a program?

No one should ever provide testosterone, and surely no one should ever take it unless under the explicit guidance and care of a certified Medical expert in Testosterone Therapy. Black-label testosterone mills have varying and questionable quality and are not governed by Health Canada’s rigorous safety requirements. Your blood needs to be closely monitored to ensure the benefits you derive are within an acceptable medical safety standard. Psirenity Health, through Dr. Robert Fallis, has an extensive intake questionnaire supported by your blood work to assess your candidacy. If you qualify, you will receive a Canadian doctor's prescription that can only be filled by a certified pharmacy. Your HRT doctor is basically a life coach who will carefully work with you to monitor results.

Does Psirenity and its staff replace my GP?

Absolutely not. Psirenity is a health and wellness company. We specialize in critical areas of nutrition and hormone therapy. We do not replace your family doctor. We will, however, collaborate with your physician to forward any blood work and keep them apprised of your progress should you direct us to do so.
